Smile Confidently With Invisalign
Invisalign consists of a series of removable, clear orthodontic aligners that straighten teeth similarly to braces, but without the use of metal brackets or wires.
They work by gently applying controlled pressure to your teeth at various points throughout your treatment, helping to guide your teeth gently into the right position.
Invisalign is a great orthodontic treatment option for children, teens and adults for those who like a more subtle look and appreciate the convenience of removable aligners.
Since Invisalign aligners are transparent, they offer a discreet look. Their removability allows you to enjoy your favorite foods and continue brushing, flossing, and caring for your oral health as usual.

Features of Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign offers several great features that can help make your orthodontic treatment go more smoothly and comfortably.
Smooth Construction
Invisalign aligners are made completely of smooth material, meaning you'll experience no irritation or discomfort from metal wires or brackets.
The aligners are made from USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are completely BPA-free, ensuring safety and quality.
Low-Profile Aesthetics
If you're worried about how orthodontic treatment might look, Invisalign could be a great option for you.
Invisalign aligners are made of a clear, lightweight material and are nearly invisible when worn. The casual observer may not even notice you're wearing them!
Removable Aligners
Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can take them out before each meal, allowing you to enjoy all your favorite foods without restriction.
You will also remove the aligners when brushing and flossing your teeth, so your oral hygiene routine remains simple and effective.
No Adjustment Appointments Needed
With Invisalign, there's no need for adjustments. You simply change from one aligner to the next in the series as directed by your orthodontist.
You'll still need to visit us for checkups to assess your progress, but you'll definitely save time on those adjustment appointments!
Digital Impressions with iTero™
Our orthodontist uses the iTero 3D scanner to take digital impressions of your smile – and show you your projected results – in preparation for Invisalign treatment.
iTero impressions are minimally invasive and do not need messy impression material like traditional physical impressions.
The Invisalign Treatment Process
Are you curious about how it all works? Find out what to expect during your orthodontic treatment with Invisalign clear aligners.
Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, your orthodontist will conduct an exam and take images to diagnose your orthodontic condition and create a personalized treatment plan. They will also address any questions or concerns you have about the practical and financial aspects of your Invisalign treatment.
The Treatment Plan
Your orthodontist will create a detailed Invisalign treatment plan based on your exam and digital scan, outlining the exact tooth movements at each stage and estimating the duration. Using this plan, Invisalign will produce your aligners in a lab with 3D printing technology.
Wearing Your Aligners
For the duration of your treatment, you'll wear your aligners every day, only removing them for a total of about two hours a day, to eat, or to brush and floss your teeth. Approximately every other week, you'll switch to the next aligner in the series. Gradually, you'll see your new smile take shape as your teeth move into their designated positions.
Appointments With Us
During your Invisalign treatment, you'll periodically come to our office for checkups.
During these appointments, your orthodontist will assess your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Please also feel free to use these appointments to ask us any questions you may have about your Invisalign treatment.
Enjoy & Maintain
You've reached the end of your treatment – congratulations! Now it's time to enjoy your straighter, healthier smile. During your final Invisalign appointment with your orthodontist, we'll review the progress your smile has made. Your orthodontist will also prescribe retainers to keep your teeth in their new positions.

What is Invisalign?
Invisalign orthodontic treatment consists of a series of clear, custom-made aligners that straighten your teeth without the use of metal wires or brackets.
Using advanced 3D computer imaging technology, we will develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique smile.
Your Invisalign aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth accurately at every stage of the treatment.
- What are the primary features of Invisalign?
-
How does Invisalign work?
Your Invisalign treatment consists of a series of clear plastic aligners. Each aligner is designed to gradually shift your teeth in small steps. You will wear each aligner for about two weeks (or as your orthodontist recommends) before switching to the next one in the series, which will continue where the previous one left off.
This process will continue until your teeth are in their prescribed, corrected positions.
-
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign orthodontic treatment depends on the severity of your orthodontic condition and the number of aligners needed. The more severe or complex the misalignment, the more aligners you'll require, and the higher your treatment cost will be.
Concerns about cost are completely understandable. We provide dental financing and flexible payment options to help you budget for orthodontic care.
-
How many sets of aligners will I need?
The answer to this question really depends on the nature and complexity of your misalignment. Every case is unique, so it's important to consider your individual situation.
Based on a detailed evaluation of your bite during your initial consultation, your orthodontist will provide you with an accurate estimate of the duration of your treatment.
-
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Your orthodontist will give you an estimate of how long your Invisalign treatment will take, tailored to your individual case.
The duration of your treatment is ultimately determined by the nature and severity of the misalignment of your teeth or jaw. This helps figure out how much movement is needed to fix the problem and the number of aligners you'll use to achieve this.
-
What are Invisalign aligners made of?
Invisalign aligners are crafted using high-quality, medical-grade polyurethane resins that are BPA-free, ensuring safety and comfort for your smile.
-
Can adults use Invisalign?
Yes! Almost anyone with healthy teeth and gums is a potential candidate for Invisalign.
Many adults these days are opting for orthodontic treatment with Invisalign aligners due to their discreet appearance and the convenience of removing them for eating, brushing, and flossing.
-
Can teenagers use Invisalign?
Yes! Teens certainly can be candidates for Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign offers Invisalign Teen, a product line that is designed to meet the unique needs of teenagers.
Invisalign Teen aligners stand out from standard Invisalign aligners mainly due to two features. Firstly, they include compliance indicators. These are small blue dots that disappear after the aligners are worn consistently for two weeks, helping teens monitor their treatment progress and know when to switch to new aligners.
They also come with eruption tabs for tweens and younger teens whose adult teeth are still emerging. These provide space for second molars and prevent them from growing crooked.
-
Can children use Invisalign?
Yes, Invisalign has a product line called Invisalign First, which can be used on kids as young as seven in some cases.
Compared to standard Invisalign aligners, Invisalign First aligners are designed to be smaller, allowing them to fit over baby teeth. They also feature an Eruption Compensation system that helps them adapt to baby teeth falling out and adult teeth growing in.
-
How will Invisalign fit my lifestyle?
Just like with any orthodontic treatment, Invisalign might take a little time to get used to at first. However, we're confident you'll discover that it seamlessly fits into your everyday routines.
Invisalign aligners can be removed whenever you need to eat, drink, brush, or floss. That means there are no dietary restrictions, and you can continue your usual oral hygiene routine.
And because the aligners are made of a lightweight, clear plastic, they are almost invisible when worn, meaning your orthodontic treatment won't be that apparent to anyone but you.
-
How often do I have to visit the orthodontist with Invisalign?
You will need to visit the orthodontist every 12 weeks during your Invisalign treatment for a checkup so they can assess your progress. If any refinements or adjustments are necessary for your treatment, additional visits might be needed.
Invisalign aligners require no adjustments or tightening. You simply switch to a new set of aligners as your orthodontist recommends, which means you won't have to come in for these types of appointments during your treatment. It’s a simple and hassle-free process designed to fit smoothly into your busy life.
-
How often do I have to change my Invisalign aligners?
When you begin treatment, your orthodontist will specify how often you should change your aligners. The frequency varies a bit among patients, but it's normally every two weeks or so.
-
Are there any food or drink restrictions?
You can remove your aligners to eat, so there aren't really any dietary restrictions while you're undergoing Invisalign treatment.
We suggest removing your aligners when drinking beverages other than water (such as pop, coffee, juice, etc.) to prevent staining and to stop sugars and acids from getting trapped between the aligners and your teeth.
-
How do I clean my aligners?
There are a few different steps involved when it comes to keeping your Invisalign clear aligners clean.
You will need to rinse them off each time you remove them from your mouth to remove dry saliva and any plaque buildup.
You should also clean your aligners thoroughly each day. Use a soft toothbrush, clear anti-bacterial soap, and cool water to clean them. Brush your aligners gently to avoid scratching them, and then rinse them off with soap. Then you're done!
Besides cleaning the aligners, make sure your mouth is clean before putting them back in. This means brushing and flossing after each meal to ensure that no food particles get stuck between your teeth and the aligners, leading to bad breath and possibly cavities and gum disease.
-
How do I store my aligners?
You should store your Invisalign aligners in the case they come with whenever they're not in your mouth. This will keep them safe and clean until it's time to wear them again.
-
Can I play sports with Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners are easy to remove, allowing you to enjoy playing sports without worrying about damaging them.
However, remember that to stay on track with treatment, Invisalign aligners need to be worn for at least 22 hours a day (or as your orthodontist advises), so plan your time wisely.
It's important to invest in a sports mouth guard to protect your teeth while playing sports. Orthodontic treatment causes your teeth to temporarily loosen slightly as they shift into their new positions, which can make them more susceptible to damage than they normally are.
-
Can I play my woodwind or brass instrument with Invisalign?
Absolutely! Just take out your aligners to play your instrument, then put them back in afterward.
Remember that you should wear your Invisalign aligners for approximately 22 hours each day (or according to your orthodontist's instructions). Be sure to plan your practice time carefully.
-
Invisalign vs. braces: which is right for me?
Invisalign and braces are both effective orthodontic options, but differences between them may influence their suitability for various individuals.
When choosing between Invisalign and braces, consider factors such as aesthetics, personal preferences, lifestyle, cost, and the severity and type of your misalignment. You can learn more here.
Your orthodontist will assess your specific case and recommend the best treatment option for your needs.
